GAZAS Sportz staged a stunning fourth-quarter revival to win 29-26 over BNC Cricketers 1 in the Newcastle open netball championships grand final on Saturday.

The two sides have fought some tight battles already this season, and Saturday's deciding exchange was no different.

The scores were locked at 6-6 at the first break then 14-14 by half-time.

BNC Cricketers nudged ahead to lead 21-19 heading into the final quarter, but Gazas Sportz outscored their opponents by five goals in the last period to snatch the win.

Gazas centre Sheree Welham was inspirational for her side, dominating the mid-court, and circle defender Renae Walton did a solid job at restricting the BNC Cricketers shooters.
