Illawarra have underlined their dominance of division five State League netball with a comfortable victory over Hunter United.
Hunter were fourth heading into last weekend's clash in Sydney, but the competition leaders still won easily 63-50.Scores were locked 11-11 at the first break, but in the second quarter Illawarra defenders Katrina Parnell and Melinda Sharpe picked off some superb intercepts on the way to a 30-24 half-time lead.Illawarra's shooters were also in fine form, with Ashleigh Larsen landing 25 from 27 and Stella Goodman bagging 38 from 42 for a combined average of 91 per cent.Illawarra take on Blacktown City in Sydney on Saturday night.Meantime, Illawarra's State League division two side went down 47-37 to leaders Clubs NSWIS in Sydney on Tuesday. Ninth placed Illawarra face seventh-placed Blacktown City in Sydney next week.
