A BRIGHT start built the foundations for Illawarra's 51-37 win over Penrith in their round 13 division five State League netball showdown.
The competition leaders shot to a seven-goal lead at the first break in Sydney last weekend.Illawarra then employed a zone defence right across the court for the second quarter, forcing many turnovers which were converted to stretch the lead to 27-17 at half-time.Ashley Larsen shot 20 goals, while Stella Goodman bagged 30.
