BNC Cricketers 1 can take a big step towards securing the minor premiership in the Newcastle open netball championship with a win over Gazas Sportz in the top-of-the-table clash today.

BNC Cricketers 1 lead the competition on 26 points with three rounds remaining in the preliminary season and hold a one-point buffer over second-placed Gazas.

The pacesetters will move three points clear with victory today, but a loss will mean forfeiting the lead.

The last time the two teams traded blows, BNC Cricketers 1 beat Gazas 30-28.

In other games today, Mattara play Temperzone, BNC Cricketers 2 play Hotel Delany and Nags Head take on Junction Hotel.
