JANE Menzies will reach a milestone when she steps on court in the national netball league for the 50th time on Sunday.

The spring-loaded wing defence joined the Jaegers with just two national league games to her name in 2004, but the 25-year-old Queenslander is now just that many appearances away from reaching the 50-match mark.

The Jaegers have a double-header this weekend.

They host the AIS Canberra Darters tomorrow night before travelling to Melbourne to play the Kestrels on Sunday.

The clash with the Kestrels is the first game of an annual NSW-versus-Victoria double-header the Sydney Swifts and Melbourne Phoenix face off in the other match.

Menzies shares the record of the most appearances for the Jaegers 46 with another foundation player, Lara Welham.

Welham reached 60 national league games last week when she made it on court for the last quarter in the Jaegers' historic 58-44 win over the Swifts.

? Novocastrians have their last chance to see the Jaegers in action tomorrow night before they hit the road for a horror five-game stretch.

The Jaegers' next game in Newcastle will not be until Sunday, July 1, when they take on the Adelaide Thunderbirds.

? Australian defender Julie Prendergast was back on court for the Kestrels last weekend after three weeks on the sideline through injury.

The talented circle defender played a vital role in the Kestrels' thrilling 51-50 win over the Thunderbirds last round.

The Melburnians welcome back another key player against the Jaegers in co-captain Rebecca Bulley (nee Strachan), who has missed the past two games on national duty.

? Defending champions Newcastle are through to the semi-finals of the Interdistrict under-15 representative netball competition being held at Jaegers' home games.

Newcastle secured passage to the semi-finals with a 29-17 win over Port Stephens on Friday. Lakeside toppled Maitland 37-13.

Newcastle and Lakeside meet in one semi-final tomorrow night, and Charlestown play Wyong in the other do-or-die match.
